At Accord Laboratory Supplies Ltd, (hereafter also referred to as “Accord Labs” “we” “us” or “our”).
Ground Shipping: Propane/Butane/Solvent Shipment
Due to TC and FAA regulations and for safe transportation of orders involving solvent tanks, we shall be unable to ship such order via means other than ground shipment/freight. We may use different carriers due to other destinations or scenario.
Sales on items listed or qualified as hazardous materials, including propane and butane and other flammable solvents, are final and we do not accept returns of such materials due to existing shipping regulations for such hazardous materials.
In a bid to stay compliant with transport and safety regulations, we cannot ship solvents with other items. And as such, in the event that a customer wants to expedite specific items and order solvent, such order shall be split into 2 separate orders: 1 for the solvent and 1 for the expedited items.
Shipping certain products to specific regions are prohibited by law. Solvents do not ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or any other US Territory outside of the contiguous 48 States.
Shipment of solvent to Alaska shall only be done via freight and will be mandatory to travel through Canada. In order to maintain safety and ensure compliance with applicable shipping regulations when transporting solvents, and to eliminate any issues with delivery times for our clients, we have put this measure in place.
If the customer who does not obey these instructions selects the wrong shipping option(s), Accord Labs retains the right to contact the customer to demand extra funds for the proper shipping system used to ship the order (at our discretion).
Shipping options include freight service by Liftgate and if this service is not chosen, the customer will be expected to pay the service fee. (US $45 or $140 Canada)
Estimated delivery dates provided by Accord Labs are non-binding and time of delivery is not of the essence. We shall not be liable for any delays, loss or damage in transit. Accord Labs shall not be held responsible for any shipment/package being delayed by the carrier due to adverse weather conditions, uncontrollable circumstances (flight delays, equipment malfunction etc.), or an act of god and will not refund the cost of shipping.
Multiple day delays on shipments can be caused by any of the above-mentioned events regardless of the shipping method selected at the point of checkout.
Shipment reroutes/Lost Shipments/Shipments Returned to Accord Labs: In the event that an order is placed with incorrect shipping information and requires a change of address, the customer will be charged a reroute fee and any additional shipping charges that may apply to such rerouting. This fee can vary based on your location and how much the shipment needs to travel away from its originally shipped location.
If incorrect shipping information provided by the Customer is the cause of a shipment(s) becoming lost in transit or delivered incorrectly by the carrier, then Accord Labs shall not be held responsible for any compensation or replacements for the lost or incorrectly delivered shipment.
Refused and/or canceled orders by the receiver or returned to the sender by the receiver for any reason (including but not limited to: incorrect address/incomplete address, receiver not available, the receiver did not pick up the package within the allotted time frame, the receiver did not provide documentation required for international shipments, etc.) will have the return shipping charges and a 15% restocking fee deducted out of any applicable refund. (Original shipping charges and/or TC Tariffs paid on the order are non-refundable). A new order will need to be placed if the customer is still interested in the originally purchased items.
Signature Is REQUIRED For The Following
- Orders over $400 (or local currency equivalent, including shipping and tax) or more, it will have signature confirmation of delivery at Accord Labs’ discretion.
- All Solvents, Alcohols or Lab Chemicals (Adult Signature over 18 yrs of age
- Delivery to a business/company.
- Delivery to an apartment, suite, or unit.
- All expedited orders.
Import Duties and Taxes
For our international customers, it is the sole duty of the customer to pay related duties, fines, and brokerage fees. The shipping company will refund the package(s) to our facility at the shipping rate of the customer in the event that the customer declines to pay these fees. Please contact us by phone or email for specifics about international shipment and additional information.
- Note: Customers that fail to pay the stipulated duties, royalties, and brokerage and/or do not/cannot have the necessary import paperwork will result in the return of the shipment to our facility: your refund* will be deducted from the initial shipping, the return shipping costs** and a 15 percent restocking fee.
- For international customers, USPS, FedEx, and UPS DO NOT contain duties and taxation. In order to receive the shipment, customers receiving the package would need to pay brokerage costs, duties, and taxes.
* The Hazmat Tariff would not be refunded if the returned object is a Hazardous Material.
**Return shipping cost may amount to the equivalent or more than the purchased goods, and in this case, no refund will be issued to the customer.
*** USPS International First Class deliveries typically take 7-21 days to arrive (not guaranteed as it may sometimes take longer subject to other factors beyond our control or USPS’). For an order shipped with this procedure, Accord Labs would not provide any reimbursement.
